Paciorek Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Monday, June 26th , 1972 Tom Paciorek continued his streak at Spruce Ballpark today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Spruce Grove left fielder was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Eagles were not as fortunate, losing 9-8 to the John's Island Sod Poodles. "Paciorek was hitting everything we threw at him," said John's Island manager Hideaki Koike. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Tom Paciorek struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This season Paciorek is batting at a .322 clip with 6 home runs and 43 RBIs. |
