Everything came together at the plate for the 20-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Smokies to a 11-3 win at Bargersville Grounds. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Schneider said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Leroy Schneider tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Gregg Watkins in the 8th. So far this season Schneider is hitting .269 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 108 at-bats and a .368 OBP. |
