North Ridgeville Shut Out, 7-0, By Cubs, Moreno Wednesday, August 2nd , 1972 The Kanata Cubs whipped the North Ridgeville River Bandits 7-0 at North Ridgeville Fields today behind a masterful outing from starter António Moreno. Moreno shut out the River Bandits on 6 hits and 2 walks. He registered 12 strikeouts over 9 innings. "Velocity felt good, everything felt good today," a smiling Moreno said later. "Command felt good, conditions felt good, glove felt good, hat felt good. Seriously everything." This year Moreno has gone 10-9 with an ERA of 3.69 and has 147 strikeouts in 156 innings. |
