D'Acquisto Cruises to Shutout Thursday, August 3rd , 1972 John D'Acquisto pitched a strong game at Greyhounds Ballpark today, blanking the Richmond Greyhounds 3-0. D'Acquisto allowed no runs on 4 hits, totaled 8 strikeouts and gave up no walks. Toledo manager said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for D'Acquisto. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," said. "He threw a lot of strikes." So far this season D'Acquisto has compiled a 5-2 record with a 3.68 ERA. |
