Roanoke Devastated by Playoff Elimination Saturday, September 6th , 1997 The Roanoke Colts were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Carlos Simmons of the Colts said it's a tough way to finish out the season. "To be eliminated from playoff contention in the last few games, it's not easy," he said. This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1994. In total, the Colts have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Colts have made the playoffs 2 times. |
