Adkins Pitches Braves to Shutout Victory Sunday, September 7th , 1997 Jon Adkins really had his stuff working at Parker Field today. The Richmond Braves hurler mystified the Buffalo/Winnipeg Bisons/Whips and shut them out 6-0. Adkins allowed a total of 6 hits in the ballgame and struck out 3. "The shutout is nice but I'm just happy we won," Adkins said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose." This year Adkins has a 5-1 record with a 2.96 ERA. |
