The Texas State Troopers had to overcome a fine effort from Tampa Bay pitcher Dave Blohoviak to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Five-O Colosseum. Blohoviak went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was Ray O'Quinn. He is now 3-4. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The win makes Texas 37-40.

Rich Jamison was the walk-off hero for Texas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the State Troopers first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Jamison told the Texas Observer.
