Las Vegas Bunnies Mathematically Out of Playoffs

Any hopes of a playoff berth for the Las Vegas Bunnies this season were already a long shot at best. But even the longshot hopes are now gone, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today.
This is the club's 12th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2095. In total, the Bunnies have missed the playoffs 81 times in their 94-year history.

Oklahoma City's José Javier Suffers Setback

Oklahoma City Capitols starting pitcher José Javier will now miss more time after sustaining a setback in his recovery from a torn labrum. The setback is believed to be minor, but the timetable for his return has been pushed back an additional 12 months.
José Javier is expected to undergo surgery in Oklahoma City(Oklahoma) tomorrow.
So far this season Javier has a record of 6-7 with 99 strikeouts and 26 walks in 102.1 innings and a 4.93 ERA.

Fishin Cows End Williams's Streak

Travis Williams's 20-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today as the Colorado Dodos suffered a 5-3 setback against the Halifax Fishin Cows.
Williams went without a hit in 3 trips to the plate. He was visibly upset during a postgame press conference, but it appeared that the streak had little to do with it.
"The hitting streak was one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep about it tonight," he said. "On the other hand, I am going to lose sleep about dropping this game today."
Thus far this year Williams is hitting .282 with 30 home runs, 92 RBIs and 69 runs scored.
