Capitols Snatch Late Win
|
The Oklahoma City Capitols defeated the Muscatine Muskateers, 8-5, in 12 innings. Albert Patterson led the way, going 2-for-4 for Oklahoma City. Paul Clay earned save number 1 this season. Oklahoma City has now won 3 straight, while the Muskateers have lost 7 in a row.
Patterson had a game-changing double in the top of the 12th. On a first pitch fastball from Brian Davis, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Capitols a 7-5 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Patterson.
Patterson told a Oklahoma City News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
