The Shadowland Reapers weathered a fine game by Miami designated hitter Spike Saunders to upend the Manatees, 8-6, at Water World Presented by Bass Pro Shop. Saunders was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Clay Green finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The win lifts Shadowland to a record of 4-4.

Glen Evans helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Shadowland a 2-0 lead.

Evans told a Shadowland Herald reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
