The Boston Brawlers knocked off the Buffalo Stampede, 5-1, at New Meadowlands. Ángel Hernández was a big reason Boston won. The right fielder went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Kostas Rinas got the win, improving to 4-4. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The win has Boston at 63-91.

Boston took a 4-1 lead on Hernández's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Joey Downs in the top of the seventh, propelled Boston to the win.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Boston manager ChunkySkayer Smith.
