Led by Jim Holley, the Seattle Geoducks of Olympia defeated the Buffalo Stampede, 4-2. Holley went 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Geoducks of Olympia. Desmond Sellers, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held Buffalo to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. Junior Montés earned the save, his 3rd.

Holley came through with some timely hitting for Seattle. With Buffalo trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Holley hit a first pitch curveball for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season made it 4-2, Seattle.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Buffalo skipper Clif Maestro Smith, "and it cost us."

Buffalo is 2-7 after the defeat.
