Rapid City Takes 2-1 Lead in Divisional Round
The Rapid City Galaxy moved to within one game of the Championship Round today, downing the Salt Lake Squirrels on the road at Drey Nest Ballpark by a score of 5-3. Galaxy left-hander Gerald McDermott had a strong outing. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Galaxy a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Divisional Round.

Rapid City used the clutch hitting of Tom McKeown to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Galaxy the lead, 5-2. For the game, McKeown had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

McKeown called the win "a collective effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Drey Nest Ballpark in Salt Lake City.
