Wendigo Lose to Sea Otters, 4-3
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Long Beach Sea Otters got the win.
The Long Beach Sea Otters did just enough to secure a victory over the Ottawa Wendigo, 4-3, at Forest Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Haywood Hunt. Earning his 5th save for Long Beach was Abdelwahab Akua.
Guo-fang Zhang tagged a home run off Jeff Miller in the top of the sixth. His 2-run blast put the Sea Otters on top, 4-2. In all, Zhang had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I was a little disappointed," said Ottawa manager Tony Manager. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Ottawa now has a record of 8-8.
