Getting a good performance from catcher Carroll Callahan, the Death Valley Scorpion Kings defeated the Houston Red Bulls, 8-4. Callahan went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Scorpion Kings. The win brings the Scorpion Kings to 8-17, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
