Rapid City picked up a win at Beaver's House of Poon, toppling the Vancouver Beavers, 6-3. Pitcher Tyler Ehrlich was one of the reasons the Galaxy triumphed. Ehrlich, now 5-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Jesse Custer got credit for the save for Rapid City. It was his 8th of the year.

One of the clutch hits for Rapid City came from one of their biggest talents. In the top of the seventh with one out, Shawn Montgomery, who is tied for 9th in the SL with a .550 slugging percentage, hit a 2-run home run to put the Galaxy up, 3-1. For the game, the right fielder hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Montgomery.
