Sea Otters Hang 5-2 Loss on Milkers
|
Long Beach pitcher Alfredo Cabrera did his part in helping his team beat the Milwaukee Milkers, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Cabrera picked up the win for Long Beach, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 8-4. Ed Burris collected his 13th save.
The Sea Otters got an important contribution from designated hitter Domingo Barzaga, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a 2-2 sinker into right-center for a solo home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Sea Otters ahead, 2-1.
"We did enough to win," said Cabrera.
