The Vancouver Beavers topped the Milwaukee Milkers, 2-1, in Origin League action at Beaver's House of Poon. The standout performance belonged to Vancouver pitcher and Costa Mesa, California, native Rory Gapp. Bill Wall earned the save for Vancouver, his 6th. The Beavers go to 49-79 with the win.

Vancouver took the lead in the bottom of the first on a big hit from Augusto Parra. On a first pitch sinker from Stephen Ferguson, Parra hit a run-scoring single. That made it 2-1, Beavers. For the day, Parra was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"Good win for us," said Gapp. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
