Milkmen Take Down Railroaders, 3-2
|
The Milwaukee Milkmen picked up a win at Suplizio Field, knocking off the Cleburne Railroaders, 3-2. Starting pitcher Michael Qualls was a big reason why. Qualls got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. Qualls allowed 2 runs. Chris Cabrera sewed up the save, his 10th.
Orlando Perez made it 3-2 in favor of Milwaukee when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Milkmen went on to win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Milwaukee skipper Geoff Geary.
The Milkmen move to 37-50 with the win, while the Railroaders drop to 48-39.
