Cronulla rode a fine outing from starter Young-chul Kong to victory over the East Sydney Roosters at Endeavour Field. The final score was 4-2. Eric Jolly was credited with the save for Cronulla, his 1st of the season. Cronulla is now 13-7.

Asa Thatcher had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Cronulla. He came through with a 2-run single to put Cronulla in front, 4-1.

After the game, Cronulla manager Random Task applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
