Bulldogs Lose to Sharks in Walk Off
The Canterbury Bulldogs got a superb performance from pitcher Nicholas Crompton, but the Cronulla Sharks still won the game, 3-2. Crompton threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Bill Embleton picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-3. Jonatan Spokes was tagged with the loss. The Sharks, at 69-40, lead by one game in their division.

John Fay was the walk-off hero for Cronulla. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sharks first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Fay said.
