The 8-2 Canterbury win over Cronulla was due in large part to Brad Junee. The Bulldogs center fielder went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The defeat makes Cronulla 14-9.

The Bulldogs got an important contribution from catcher Harry Pratly, who in the bottom of the second punched a first pitch changeup into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Bulldogs ahead, 2-0.

Cronulla manager Random Task said his team was "out of sync."
