Punt Road Park was the site for National League action featuring the Melbourne Demons and St. Kilda Saints.

The St. Kilda Saints got a good effort from starter Todd Tronc in defeating the Melbourne Demons at Punt Road Park. The final score was 6-2. Tronc got the win, improving to 7-7. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Tronc allowed 2 runs.

St. Kilda used a well-timed hit by Rickie Rowles to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Saints ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Tronc.

St. Kilda bumps their record to 60-70 with the win.
