Trewhella, Roosters Wallop Sharks in Game 2 of LC
The East Sydney Roosters relied on the hitting of third baseman Cristian Trewhella to get by the Cronulla Sharks, 7-1, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. For the game, Trewhella went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.

Randolph Clyde dealt the Sharks a blow in the top of the second. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and East Sydney leading 2-1, Clyde, who finished 3rd in the WL in hits with 147 in 2019, hit a full count cutter for a 2-run single.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said East Sydney manager Chris Smith.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Endeavour Field in Sydney.
