Sharks Clip Bears 3-2 in LC Contest
|
The Cronulla Sharks and the North Sydney Bears will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Sharks beat the Bears 3-2 at North Sydney Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cronulla left-hander Billie Kenny had a big role in the win. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball.
In his 93-pitch effort, Kenny allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 5.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kenny.
Game 7 is scheduled for Thursday at Endeavour Field in Sydney.
