Almost There: Carlton On Cusp of LC Triumph After 12-6 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of catcher Donny Creaser, the Carlton Blues got a road win against the South Melbourne Swans, 12-6, in Game 4 of the League Championship Series today. Creaser was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Blues, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Ben Brennan aided the Carlton cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 2-5 with 2 singles.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Brennan, "and go after the next one."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Albert Park Baseball Grounds in Melbourne.
