Tigers Topple Sea Eagles, 6-1, as Fowke Shines
|
Wests center fielder Luke Fowke made his presence felt in the 6-1 Tigers triumph over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. Fowke was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Tigers go to 17-27 with the win.
Paul Llewellyn drove in one run for Wests. The 27-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Brock Burnard. It was his 8th RBI of the season.
"It was a solid team effort," said Fowke after the game.
