Swans Suffer 6-2 Loss to Blues
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Carlton Blues starter Kaleb Heidke was dealing. He helped his team knock off the South Melbourne Swans, 6-2. In 7 innings, Heidke surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
Carlton took a 4-2 lead on Billy Asquith's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Asquith hit in the bottom of the seventh, left South Melbourne pitcher Frankie Dexter visibly frustrated.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Carlton manager Otto Macha.
The Blues, now 4-1, have stormed out of the gates.
