Goudie Torches Panthers for 5 Hits Sunday, July 10th , 2022 No matter what the Penrith Panthers threw at him today, Mark Goudie hit it. He easily handled Panthers pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Swans to a 10-5 triumph at Albert Park Baseball Grounds. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Goudie's quip, Panthers skipper Mark Haydock said he "would take him up on that next time." Mark Goudie singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the season, Goudie is hitting at a .260 clip with 2 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 28 runs. He has 73 hits, 17 walks and a .308 on-base percentage.
