Gemmell Dominates Tigers Saturday, September 3rd , 2022 It wasn't easy but the Canterbury Bulldogs made it look that way. Starter Jamie Gemmell shut out the Wests Tigers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Canterbury Bulldogs cruised to victory, 5-0. Gemmell allowed only 6 hits and rang up 3 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." This year in 19 starts, Gemmell has recorded 8 wins and absorbed 6 losses. He has pitched 125.2 innings, allowed 146 hits, struck out 57 and has a 4.51 ERA.
