David García discovered that today at Soldiers Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 15-6 Sunrise Manor HS Soldiers win over the Newark HS Bluffers. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Sunrise Manor HS left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." García, who is tied for 10th in the SDMBHS in total bases with 51, finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats and 5 RBIs. David García hit a solo-shot off Mario Orozco in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Gabriel Aguilar in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Manuel Rojas in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. So far this season, García is batting .369 with 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 24 hits in 65 at-bats, 11 walks and a .475 OBP. García has played in 19 games. |
