Marlins Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Miami Marlins got a stellar effort from pitcher Elieser Hernandez, helping Miami score a win over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies, 2-1. Miami reliever Ryne Stanek picked up the win, raising his record to 4-2. Hector Neris was tagged with the loss. The win puts Miami at 25-38.
The Marlins procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Matt Joyce. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Miami manager Or Moyal said.
