Late Rally by Marlins Seals 4th Straight Win
|
The Philadelphia Phillies got a superb performance from pitcher Zach Eflin, but the Miami Marlins still won the game, 6-4. Eflin threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Drew Steckenrider was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 23 of 28 save opportunities. Miami has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Miami used a clutch hit from Jesus Aguilar to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marlins ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Miami manager Or Moyal.
