Suarez Lifts Reds to 13-4 Triumph
|
The Cincinnati Reds beat the San Francisco Giants, 13-4, at Oracle Park. The win was due in part to third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 5 runs and drove in 2. The losing streak for San Francisco has now reached 7 games.
Tucker Barnhart had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for the Reds. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Cincinnati trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run home run.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Cincinnati manager Eno Sarris.
