Mets Lose to Rangers, 7-3
|
The New York Mets got a sterling performance from shortstop Amed Rosario, but the Texas Rangers still prevailed, 7-3. Rosario went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win has Texas at 57-98.
Texas used a well-timed hit by Dustin Fowler to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
Fowler told a Texas Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
