The Cleveland Indians defeated the Chicago White Sox, 12-3, in American League action at Guaranteed Rate Field. Cleveland pitcher Adam Plutko had a standout performance. With the win, the Indians hiked their record to 93-66.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Francisco Lindor to capture the win. The shortstop socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Indians ahead, 9-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Plutko. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
