Mets Come Back Late to Top Brewers
|
New York right fielder Michael Conforto made his presence felt in the 4-1 Mets triumph over the Milwaukee Brewers. Conforto was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. New York reliever Dellin Betances picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brent Suter took the loss. Earning his 4th save for New York was Edwin Diaz.
Jeff McNeil hit a solo home run off Brent Suter in the top of the eighth, which put the Mets ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, McNeil had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 5.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," McNeil said.
The defeat makes Milwaukee 6-8.
