San Francisco Loses Trevor Cahill, Will Miss Season
Tuesday, September 8th, 2020
When Trevor Cahill was hurt against the St. Louis Cardinals, the San Francisco Giants were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 32-year-old reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Cahill would miss 7-8 months of the season.

Cahill has compiled an ERA of 3.25 so far this season, winning 3 games with 4 losses and 1 save. In 66 relief appearances he has hurled 91.1 innings, yielded 78 hits and struck out 91. Opposing hitters have batted .236 against Cahill.
