Boston's Matt Barnes Suffers Setback
Friday, September 11th, 2020
Matt Barnes, closer for the Boston Red Sox, was making great progress in healing a strained hamstring according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Matt was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 2 weeks before he will be able to rejoin the club."

To date, Barnes has registered a 4-1 won-lost mark, has 54 relief appearances and rung up 18 saves. He has a 4.25 ERA and has allowed 36 hits over his 48.2 innings of work, struck out 81 batters and walked 26.
