Tatis Jr. Collects Cycle Thursday, September 17th, 2020 Fernando Tatis Jr. had a special day at Chase Field today, contributing to the San Diego Padres' 15-8 win and hitting for the cycle along the way. The 21-year-old shortstop went 4-for-6, raking a single, double, triple and home run against the Arizona Diamondbacks. "Boy, Fernando had himself a ballgame, didn't he?" San Diego manager Derek Van Riper said later. "You don't see that very often." For the day, Tatis Jr. finished with 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Fernando Tatis Jr. flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Madison Bumgarner in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
