Baez Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, September 18th, 2020 Chicago shortstop Javier Baez keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Wrigley Field today. The Cubs took the 10-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Baez said.
