5-0 Loss Extends West Virginia Losing Streak
|
Rome starter Juan Grimaldo put a stranglehold on the West Virginia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Braves to a 5-0 win. The losses continue to mount for West Virginia, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
In the top of the eighth, West Virginia were in rally mode. The score was 5-0, Rome, with one out and the bases loaded. But on a first pitch pitch, Ernesto Rivera flied out.
