Jacksonville Edges Carolina, 3-2, Bolton Ks 11
|
J.J. Bolton was superb against Carolina. The left-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the NL with a 0.96 WHIP, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Bombers victory. The score was 3-2. Eli Clark collected save number 8. The win gives Jacksonville a record of 14-18.
The Catamounts had few good swings against Bolton, the left-hander, who threw 104 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 2 runs on 3 hits.
"J.J. -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Bombers manager Kevin Tucker. "He was the key to us winning."
