Bailey goes 1-3, Leads Rangers to Win
The Texas Rangers defeated the Minnesota Twins, 4-1, at Target Field today. Leading the charge for Texas was designated hitter Darrell Bailey. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Bailey picked up the win for Texas, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Carlos Giles earned the save, his 7th.

With Texas leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Bailey hit a fastball from Chad Foster for a run-scoring double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 2-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Bailey told the Texas Chronicle.

Texas goes to 21-26, Minnesota to 26-21.
