In a well-pitched game between the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants, pitcher Tamwar Taqi was fantastic. The Texas right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-0. Gene Murphy picked up the save for Texas, his 20th of the year. At 32-45, the Rangers claim last place in the American League Western Division.

Taqi earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Texas. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. San Francisco hitters had little success against him.

Taqi said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
