Baltimore Moves on to League Divisional Series
Greg Martin said he expected the Wild Card Series to be "a battle from start to finish."

In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Baltimore Orioles encountered little resistance in sweeping the Seattle Mariners, to advance to the League Divisional Series.

"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Martin.

Baltimore won the final game by a 8-2 count and were led in the series by Martin, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .444 with 2 home runs. He also drove in 7 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The Baltimore Orioles don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Boston Red Sox - Los Angeles (A) Angels series. Los Angeles (A) leads the series 1 game to 0. The League Divisional Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
