González, Milwaukee Top Orioles, 1-0
|
Pitcher Juan González was sensational for the Milwaukee Brewers in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Baltimore Orioles. González picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Tony O'Quinn recorded the save for Milwaukee, his 18th of the season. The Brewers, at 44-43, sit in second place in the National League Central Division.
González earned the win to move to 5-6. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 8 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Orioles few scoring opportunities.
"We played hard and won," said González. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
