The Texas Rangers topped the Oakland Athletics, 5-4, in American League action at O.co Coliseum. The game was highlighted by the performance of Texas pitcher Tamwar Taqi. The win puts Texas at 36-54.

The result might have been different for Texas, had it not been for Don Stringfield, the 31-year old right fielder . Stringfield stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Texas up, 5-4. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
