Boston Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
In a low-scoring contest, Jacksonville pitcher Beau Snyder was marvelous in his team's 3-0 win. In 6.2 innings, Snyder surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The last-place Bombers have a record of 48-88.
The Bombers got an important contribution from center fielder Gilberto Souza, who in the top of the third hit a 1-2 curveball into left for a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Bombers ahead, 1-0.
"We played hard and won," said Snyder. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
