Yankees Defeat Astros, 3-2
|
New York (A) Yankees starter Tim Bergeron was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Houston Astros, 3-2. The save went to Norm Collins, number 35 for him. New York (A) bumps their record to 75-70 with the win.
Had Esteban Morán not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Morán hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Yankees.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Houston manager Jay Wells.
